Almere City FC - Feyenoord
Netherlands Eredivisie - Yanmar Stadion

Feyenoord smashed Almere City 6-1 at home in the reverse fixture and given the 25 gap between the two sides in the Eredivisie, it would take a huge stroke of luck for Almere to pick up their first win against a side outside the bottom four.

Feyenoord were dumped out of the Europa League midweek by a usual suspect, Roma, on penalties once again, but before that, they squeezed past RKC Waalwijk with an 84th-minute strike. Whereas for Almere City they beat PEC Zwolle away from home 1-0 and are now unbeaten in three Eredivisie matches.

Almere City FC
Having spent the majority of their time in the Dutch second division, Almere City have only faced Feyenoord once in their history. This clash came earlier in the season and quickly realised what it's like facing one of the big three away from home as they were thrashed 6-1.
Almere City: Recent good form set to come to an end

Feyenoord: Ttile hopes now all but dissapeared
Feyenoord managed to just about keep some slim title hopes alive with a late win last weekend but with a 10-point gap still between themselves and PSV and only 12 games left to play, it's now all about solidifying a spot inside the top two.

Player to watch – Yankuba Minteh
It's been a steep learning curve for the young Gambian winger who's getting his first taste of European football on loan from Newcastle United. Minteh has got seven goal involvements with six of them coming in the Eredivisie, although his form has been rather inconsistent.
Is an overdue goal coming Minteh's way?
Minteh only has three goals in the Eredivisie this season but he can certainly count himself unlucky. This is because he has an XG of 4.7, so he's missing some big chances, but with players likely to be rested after Thursday's game, Minteh will likely be handed a chance to shine.
