Authenticity (3/5): Everton eyeing Richarlison return

Everton are in the market for a new forward as they prepare themselves for a major summer overhaul under the new ownership. In that regard, Tottenham Hotspur‘s Richarlison has emerged as one of their top transfer targets.

The story comes from GIVEMESPORT, who add that David Moyes is determined to add more firepower to his ranks.

Value (4/5): Everton hoping for a discount

The Toffees sold the Brazilian to Spurs for £60million three years ago but they are increasingly confident that they will be able to re-sign him for less than £40million in the summer. The way the 27-year-old has performed in north London, Everton's expectations aren't unrealistic.

Suitability (3.5/5): Goal threat

Richarlison is known for his incredible movement and ball-striking in and around the penalty area. It was this precise quality that earned him a big-money move to a Champions League club. As such, if Moyes could help him rediscover his confidence, Richarlison could once again start scoring plenty of goals.

Upgrade? (4/5): Calvert-Lewin replacement

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to depart Merseyside upon the expiration of his contract this summer. As such, there will be an obvious void at Everton for Richarlison to arrive and fill in next season. Moyes also has Beto at his disposal but the Brazil international certainly has more to offer than the Everton No 14.

Logic (4/5): Ideal time to leave

Spurs are also preparing to make plenty of changes at the club. Richarlison has struggled to play ahead of Dominic Solanke and should the club bring in more attackers, he could find himself further down the pecking order. As such, it is best for the ex-Everton man to find a new side where he has a more guaranteed role.

Whisper+ verdict: 18.5/25

Richarlison needs Everton as much as Moyes needs a new forward. Perfect opportunity for both parties!
