Whisper+ analysis

Authenticity (2/5): Everton eyeing Biereth move

Everton are reportedly considering Monaco's Biereth as a potential target for the upcoming summer transfer window.

That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim the Toffees have ‘registered an interest' in the 22-year-old striker.

Value (1.5/5): Difficult deal

Unfortunately for Everton, it will be difficult to prise Biereth away from the Principality, given the fact that he only joined Monaco from Sturm Graz in the January transfer window.

Monaco will surely be reluctant to sanction a sale, especially as the forward has a long-term contract until the summer of 2029. As a result, the Ligue 1 side would be in a strong position to demand a significant transfer fee.

Suitability (3.5/5): Striker with potential

The former Arsenal academy player impressed during his time at Sturm Graz, scoring 23 goals in 47 competitive appearances.

Biereth has continued to showcase his goalscoring talents at Monaco, having netted 12 times in 15 matches across all competitons, demonstrating why he is seen as a striker with a lot of promise.

Upgrade? (2.5/5): Calvert-Lewin replacement

Everton are keen to bolster their forward options, with Calvert-Lewin set to leave when his contract expires this summer. The Toffees will also bid farewell to Armando Broja, who is set to return to Chelsea at the end of his loan spell.

Biereth certainly has the ability to become Everton's number nine, considering his goalscoring exploits at Sturm Graz and Monaco.

Logic (2/5): Unlikely to move this summer

After spending time in the youth system at Fulham and Arsenal, Biereth could be open to the prospect of returning to England at some point in his career. However, it seems unlikely that he will leave Monaco just six months after joining the club.

Whisper+ verdict: 11.5/25

Biereth would be a strong addition to David Moyes's side, but it is difficult to see how Everton will be able to sign the Denmark international this summer.
