Estonia’s Nations League C journey has gone off to an electric start despite winning only once in three games, most recently beating Luxembourg 1-0.
Previously, they drew both of their opening Nations League fixtures, drawing 1-1 and 0-0 with Iceland and Bulgaria respectively.
On home turf, Estonia have been excellent, despite playing lower-ranked outfits. They have won three straight home games, last tasting defeat here to Italy back in November 2025.
Jurgen Henn will miss out on captain Karol Mets, who is suspended after accumulating yellow cards. Karl Hein also sits out due to injury.
Meanwhile, Iceland have Egill Ellertsson suspended due to the same reason. Albert Gudmundsson and Stefan Teitur Thordarson are sidelined due to injuries.
Iceland have seven points in their coffers from their opening three fixtures, with two victories to show for. They have scored seven goals and conceded only once along the way.
Their days of playing in League A seem like a distant memory, but another victory here will take
Arnar Gunnlaugsson’s side very close to promotion.
However, Iceland’s away form is a cause for concern. Their 3-0 win over Luxembourg in their previous trip was their first victory away from home in seven.

Whispers predicts: Estonia 1-1 Iceland
According to Bet365, Match result – Draw at 3/1 (4.00) carries immense value – both sides are expected to take their defensive game very seriously in this top-two clash.
Under 2.5 total goals at 10/11 (1.90) is an intelligent bet as well. Estonia’s last seven matches produced under 2.5 goals.
Andri Gudjohnsen has been Iceland’s standout performer in recent outings. He netted their only goals in each of the last two H2Hs and has opened the scoring in two of their last three games. Backing him to score or assist anytime at 13/8 (2.62) offers significant returns.
