Since Manuel Barm took the reins at Augsburg last December, the club haven't looked back, and based on their early season performances, that trend is set to continue.
Barm's men ended last season in brilliant form, losing just one of their final seven Bundesliga matches, as they cruised to a ninth-place finish, their highest in over a decade.
They have started this season with back-to-back victories, including a commanding 3-0 win over Schalke in their Bundesliga opener last weekend, proving this is now far more than just a new-manager bounce.
For the trip to Frankfurt this weekend, Barm is set to be without Steve Mounie, who continues to build up his fitness after signing for the club with an injury.
As for the hosts, life under Adi Hutter has started pretty well, with an 11-0 cup victory over SC St. Tonis the highlight of his short tenure to date.
In their opening league match last weekend, Frankfurt played out a far more competitive, but equally compelling, 3-3 draw with Union Berlin. Hutter will feel that his team should have won that match, particularly as they were leading 3-1 with just 15 minutes to go.
It was the same defensive lapses that cost Frankfurt on countless occasions last season that reared their head again. If they are to improve this season, they cannot afford to concede 65 league goals again.
For the match against Augsburg, Hutter will be without Nnamdi Collins and Jessic Ngankam, which won't help their defensive woes.
