Dundee's season is by and large already finished. They cannot qualify for the top six ahead of the split and can therefore not qualify for Europe, while they are too far ahead of the relegation zone to be concerned with that.
All that remains for Steven Pressley's side is the pursuit of their city rivals, Dundee United, who currently sit five points clear of them in the Scottish Premiership with seven games to play.
United pulled off a stunning 2-0 victory over Celtic just before the international break, and now the Dark Blues will look to replicate that result as they aim to end the season on a high.
Dundee haven't won back-to-back home games against Celtic since 1958.
Based on their recent form, though, a win on Sunday feels unlikely. They have won just one of their last five matches on home soil and have conceded two or more goals in four of their last six outings all told.
Pressley cannot blame an injury crisis for his side's recent woes, either, as he has a near-full kit available to him once again this weekend. The only doubt is over Clark Robertson, who is nursing a thigh injury.
As for Celtic, it is now truly a case of do or die. They more than likely need to win all seven of their final league matches to win the title, and given their history, you wouldn't want to necessarily bet against them doing exactly that.
Celtic haven't kept a clean sheet in any of their last seven league matches.
Unfortunately for the fans, this is far from a vintage Celtic side, though. They have stumbled their way through the majority of the season, and Martin O'Neill's fairy tale ending is now on the verge of becoming a horror.
Building momentum has been a problem in recent months. They have won just two of their last five Scottish Premiership matches, but their record against Dundee should fill them with confidence ahead of this one - the Bhoys have lost just one of their last 49 clashes with the Dark Blues.
O'Neill is set to be without Kasper Schmeichel, Julian Araujo, Arne Engels, Callum Osmand, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Jota, Alistair Johnston, and Adam Montgomery for this one, with all eight men in the treatment room.

Whispers predicts: Dundee 1-2 Celtic
Neither side have been particularly impressive in recent months, but Celtic's overall record in this fixture should give them the edge. Celtic to win has been priced at 1/2.
One common theme across matches featuring either one of these sides in recent times has been goals going in at both ends. Six of Celtic's last seven league matches have produced goals at both ends, and the same can be said for five of Dundee's last six. BTTS has been priced at 8/15.
Benjamin Nygren is Celtic's top scorer this season with 15 league goals to his name. Nygren is priced at 5/6 to score anytime on Saturday.
