Whisper+ analysis
Authenticity (2/5): No clear links to clubs involved
PSG are set to launch a surprise bid for Tottenham centre-back Radu Dragusin.
That is according to fichajes.net, a Spanish site which rarely give away any source information, and it is unclear where they have got their intel from.
Value (3/5): Spurs to double their money
The Parisian side are reported to be offering Spurs £42 million for the Romanian international, who has improved his standing following solid performances amid Spurs' defensive crisis of late.
That would be close to double what Spurs paid Genoa for him a year ago, and double the 22-year-old's current market value, suggesting PSG are happy to pay to get this done quickly.
Suitability (4/5): Enough quality for Ligue 1
Still a young centre-back, the jury has been out on Dragusin for the last year while he has largely been an understudy to Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.
Regardless, he has shown that he is capable of succeeding in the Premier League, which makes him good enough for Ligue 1 by default, while Luis Enrique's back four will be nothing new for him.
Upgrade? (3.5/5): Can find his place
Full-back Lucas Hernandez starting alongside Lucas Beraldo in PSG's most recent match when Willian Pacho was on the bench suggests Enrique is not entirely happy with his CB options.
With Spurs-linked Milan Skriniar supposedly on the way out, there will also be room for Dragusin to take advantage in a squad which has no real world class centre-back options.
Logic (3.5/5): More than important for Spurs
As the only fit senior centre-back at Tottenham at the moment, he is too important for the North Londoners to let go, though a deal in the summer at that price might be irresistible.
Dragusin has the chance to cement himself in the Spurs line-up, but could still have his head turned, especially if he is to drop back to the bench soon enough.
Whisper+ verdict: 16/25
Dragusin can now be considered a worthy target for a club of PSG's stature, but Spurs are unlikely to be willing to sell at any price.
