Deportivo La Coruna were held to another 1-1 draw in their first away game of the season on Monday.
The Galician side have had the lead in both of their La Liga outings this season but have failed to hold on for the win.
As things stand, Deportivo have not won a top-flight fixture since April 2018. They will have to do without Noe Carillo, who is sidelined due to an ankle injury.
Yeremay Hernandez is returning to full fitness following a pubis issue, but he's not expected to take part this weekend, and neither is new signing Adama Traore, whose late arrival to the squad means he still lacks the fitness to play.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is expected to lead the line for the hosts once again. The former Arsenal forward has scored both of the team's goals this season; coincidentally, both came in the 21st minute.
Valencia, meanwhile, are coming off a 1-0 home defeat against Real Betis. Not only are the visitors still in the hunt for their first win of the season, but they have also not scored a single goal.
Los Che have midfield and defensive vulnerabilities with shortages in these areas of the pitch. In midfield, Diego Lopez and Sergi Canos are both nursing cruciate ligament injuries, while in defence, Justin De Haas and Jose Copete are unavailable due to ankle and meniscus problems, respectively.
Carlos Corberan will also be without centre forward Alberto Mari, who is scheduled to recover next month from a muscular injury.
Although this will be the first clash between these teams since May 2018, it is fair to note that Valencia have a great track record against Deportivo, having won the last three encounters between these sides, with no defeats in the last seven H2Hs.

Whispers Predicts: Deportivo La Coruna 1-1 Valencia
At 8/5 (2.60), Deportivo La Coruna are considered favourites by the bookmakers ahead of this skirmish.
Both teams have had slow starts to their respective campaigns, and we believe that their hunt for a first victory will continue after this fixture, with the spoils being shared here.
Each of Deportivo's last five matches and four of Valencia's last five games went below the 2.5-goal line, and this can be backed at 13/20 (1.65).
We also fancy a 1-1 correct score at 23/5 (5.60). This landed in Deportivo's first two league outings.
