Dallas preview: Eyeing back-to-back wins for the first time since March
After a run of four consecutive defeats, Dallas' fortunes have improved in recent weeks, as they earned four points from a possible six in their last two matches, the most recent being a comfortable 3-0 victory over St. Louis last weekend.
Kaick scored his first goal for the club, while Petar Musa netted his tenth and eleventh goals of the season, securing the club’s second home win of the current MLS campaign.
Hosting New York City this weekend, Los Toros will be keen to keep their newfound momentum going as they aim to finish in the playoff places when all is said and done.
Defenders Enzo Newman and Geovane remain sidelined for FC Dallas due to injury.
Musa recorded his second brace of the week against St. Louis after netting his first of the season at San Jose a fortnight ago; he leads Dallas with 11 goals this season.
Interestingly, no FC Dallas player has scored more goals (27) than the Croatian since his arrival. He is expected to again lead the line for Los Toros this weekend, with Logan Farrington and Bernard Kamungo providing support from the flanks.
Predicted lineup: Paes (GK), Augusto, Ibeagha, Abubakar, Lletget, Kaick, Ramiro, Torquato Farrington, Musa & Kamungo.

New York City preview: Looking to improve their fortunes
Despite Andres Perea’s early goal, New York City were unable to hold on for all three points in their trip to Sporting KC last weekend, as Daniel Salloi’s equaliser ensured both teams would share the spoils at Children's Mercy Park.
The visitors have been inconsistent of late, with a 3-1-2 win-draw-loss record in their last six matches.
Eighteen-year-old midfielder Jonathan Shore sustained an injury in the stalemate at Kansas City. Should he be ruled unfit for this game, Augustin Ojeda is expected to partner Aiden O'Neill at the heart of the midfield.
Coach Pascal Jansen will not be able to call on the services of long-term absentee forward Malachi Jones, who remains sidelined with a broken leg, while Keaton Parks and Jacob Arroyave still have question marks hanging over their fitness levels.
Predicted lineup: Freese (GK), O'Toole, Haak, Martin, Gray, Ojeda, O'Neill, Fernandez, Moralez, Perea & Martinez.
