Top Two Betting Tips for Poland vs Czech Republic

Here are our Euro 2024 predictions for the Czech Republic's trip to Poland in the Group E qualifiers. There isn't much between these two countries but the Czech Republic sit a place above Poland in Group E with one more point on the board and a game in hand. Czech Republic claimed a 3-1 win over Poland in the pair's reverse fixture back in March but Poland really can't afford to lose on Friday.

Under 2.5 Goals

  • Fewer than three goals have been scored four of the last seven meetings between Poland and the Czech Republic.
  • Five of Poland's last six international matches have produced under 2.5 goals.
  • Three of Poland's last four fixtures have seen under 2.5 goals scored.

Robert Lewandowski to Score

  • Lewandowski top scores for Poland in the Euro 2024 qualifiers with three goals.
  • The Poland captain has scored eighty-one goals on one hundred and forty-four appearances for his country.
  • The 35-year-old striker has scored six goals in his last ten games for club and country.

Poland vs Czech Republic Lineups and Last Match

Poland

Poland will have been very disappointed not to have picked up all three points at home to Moldova last month. Albeit without their talisman Lewandowski, Poland were still the big favourite to win this Euro 2024 qualifier but fell behind in the twenty-fifth minute and trailed at the interval. Swiderski equalised for the home side early in the second half but Poland failed to carve out a winner and had to settle for a point. Robert Lewandowski is back in the Poland squad and will go straight into the starting lineup on Friday but Bereszyński, Kamiński and Milik have not been called up.

Predicted Lineup – Szczęsny (GK), Kędziora, Kiwior, Peda, Wszołek, Zieliński, Frankowski, Slisz, Szymański, Lewandowski  & Świderski

Czech Republic

Czech Republic would have been expecting a run-of-the-mill victory at home to Group E whipping boys the Faroe Islands but the hosts failed to convert any of their chances in the first-half and the pair went in at the break goalless. Czech captain Soucek did eventually break the deadlock in the seventy-sixth minute from the penalty spot but the game still ended nervously as the hosts failed to find that second goal, though, they didn't need it in the end. Goalkeeper Pavlenka, defender Krejčí and forward Jurečka are the three names that were in the last squad that haven't been called up for the Czech Republic this time around.

Predicted Lineup – Mandous (GK), Jurásek, Holeš, Černý, Souček, Lingr, M. Sadílek, Brabec, Coufal, Hložek & Čvančara

Player to Watch: Karol Świderski

Karol Świderski plays his football for MLS side Charlotte but despite not playing in one of Europe's top leagues, the Polish striker has played the role of understudy to Lewandoski really well, netting two goals in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

The 26-year-old has a good record at international level but won't be well known to many outside of Poland as after leaving his homeland in 2019 he played in Greece until moving to the USA in 2022. Świderski has been in good form for Charlotte this season, scoring twelve times in thirty starts and heads into Friday's match having scored ten goals in twenty-six games for his country.
