Czech Republic's last qualifying match was against Albania at the Fortuna Arena in Prague last month. Following a goalless first-half, the hosts took the lead through Cerny after good work from Soucek who claimed the assist. However, Albania responded really well to going behind and were soon back on level terms via a Bajrami effort and the scoreline ended 1-1. Goalkeeper Vaclík has not made the latest Czech Republic squad, along with the likes of Zima, Matějů, Král, Barák and crucially Schick who has 18-goals in 35 caps for his country.

Bajrami, who hadn't scored for his country before the qualifiers began, plies his trade for Serie A side Sassuolo. The 24-year-old who played for Switzerland up to U21 level made the move to Sassuolo from Empoli following a successful loan spell last season.
