After a ropey start to life under Pierre Sage, Crystal Palace have started to play more positive, attacking football in recent weeks, earning them a dramatic away win at Fulham last weekend and a comfortable 3-0 win over Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
Talk of a relegation battle is still there, though, but a home win against a newly promoted side could alleviate those concerns this weekend.
What will please Sage and the Palace faithful the most about their two victories this week is the fact they have scored six goals. In their first two matches against Everton and Man City, they lacked a cutting edge up front despite creating promising openings.
What complicates matters slightly this weekend is the fact that Palace begin their Europa League campaign on Thursday. That could mean Sage rotates a few players, but Chadi Riad, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Ismaila Sarr all remain unavailable for selection.
As for Ipswich, they are now two games without a win after losing to both Manchester United and Liverpool.
While losing to the two biggest clubs in the country is hardly cause for panic, Gary O'Neil will not want those two losses to spark a loss of momentum after the Tractor Boys made an excellent start to the season.
Going forward, Ipswich look a real threat, with Julio Enciso shining in the middle of the park. However, there are concerns around their high line, which O'Neil is not going to move away from now if he didn't against United and/or Liverpool.
