🔥 Our Hot tip

Under 2.5 goals

Coventry's last two defeats have been 1-0.

Coventry City are still searching for their first point and goal in the Premier League as they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to the Coventry Building Society Arena on Sunday afternoon.

The Sky Blues have suffered back-to-back 1-0 defeats to Hull City and Manchester City respectively, showing that the margins for error are slim in the top flight.

Meanwhile, Brighton are now winless in two league matches after their 1-1 draw at home to Leeds United followed a 4-3 defeat at Chelsea.

After winning the Championship, Coventry have had a tough start to their 25-year Premier League return.

One can forgive the Sky Blues for not getting anything at champions Arsenal or runners-up Man City from last season, although they did run the Cityzens close.

However, the 1-0 home defeat to fellow promoted side Hull will surely hurt them, and Lampard will be desperate to get a positive result back on home soil.

He will be able to call up Stephen Mfuni again having been ineligible to face parent club Man City, but Haji Wright headlines the list of injury absentees.

As for Brighton, Fabian Hurzeler is hopeful that Georginio Rutter will be fit, while Femi Azeez could also return.

However, the likes of Jack Hinshelwood, Yankuba Mintehand Kaoru Mitoma all remain on the sidelines.

Having made such a strong start with their 4-0 demolition of Aston Villa at the Amex Stadium, the Seagulls have picked up just one point from their last two league matches, and will want to put that right with victory here.

Their European campaign also starts soon, so Brighton will want to put themselves in a strong position in the league before that happens.

Whispers predicts: Coventry City 0-2 Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton are favourites with bookies, and given their stronger form and squad superiority, we are happy to back Brighton to win at 10/11 (1.91).

Under 2.5 goals at 11/10 (2.10) is our next pick, having come through in both teams' previous outings, while BTTS – No at 5/4 (2.25) is also worth backing given Coventry have failed to score in the league.

Overall, we are predicting a 2-0 Brighton victory, which is available at 10/1 (11.00).
