Colorado Rapids vs Los Angeles Galaxy prediction: Guests to secure three points
Key stats
- Colorado enter this game after losing the last three, while LA Galaxy have won four points in the last two rounds.
- Both teams have scored in three of the last four H2H meetings between Rapids and Galaxy.
- LA Galaxy have averaged 3.40 total goals per game in away matches in the MLS this season, with both teams scoring in 60% of them.
Correct score prediction: Colorado Rapids 1-2 LA Galaxy
While the hosts enter this match with 14 points more than LA Galaxy, they haven't been in great form lately, having lost three in a row and six of their last eight matches in the league.
Meanwhile, LA Galaxy have a win and a draw in the last two rounds, which is half of the points they've won in total this season, so they seem to be turning things around. Along with their recent H2H dominance over Rapids, we feel that LA Galaxy to win is the right bet here.
Pre-game odds and win probability: Colorado Rapids the more likely winners
- HOME: 11/10 (2.10) – 47.60%
- DRAW: 5/2 (3.50) – 28.60%
- AWAY: 15/8 (2.88) – 34.80%

Colorado Rapids preview: Hoping to end their losing streak
With just two losses in their first 10 games, Colorado Rapids had a very good start to the season, but they've now lost six of their last eight matches, including the last three. Because of these poor results recently, Colorado remain outside of the playoff zone at the moment, although they would make the play-in tournament if the season ended now.
Wayne Frederick is at the Gold Cup with Trinidad and Tobago, but Rapids are also without injured Zack Steffen and Ali Fadal, while Alex Harris is questionable.
Predicted lineup: Hansen (GK), Cannon, Maxso, Murphy, Vines, Larraz, Atencio, Ronan, Mihailovic, C. Harris & Navarro

Los Angeles Galaxy preview: Light at the end of the tunnel?
While Galaxy have only won eight points from 18 matches in the league so far, half of those points came in the last two rounds when LA beat Real Salt Lake and drew with St. Louis City in a match where they conceded a goal in the final seconds. So, it seems that LA Galaxy are finding their form and they'll be hoping to prove this against Colorado.
Meanwhile, Riqui Puig is still out with a torn ACL, while Diego Fagundez and Miguel Berry are questionable for this match.
Predicted lineup: Micovic (GK), Yamane, Zanka, Yoshida, Nelson, Sanabria, Parente, Pec, Reus, Paintsil & Nascimento
