Team Information, Match Preview, and Chesterfield vs Sheffield United Lineups
Chesterfield
This is a club that plays its games in the National League which is the fifth-tier league system in England. Chesterfield's recent results in preparation games are all the more impressive as they trashed both of their opponents with a record-breaking 14 goals scored with only one conceded. Tom Naylor, Will Grigg, Bailey Hobson and Harry Tyrer are their most important signings for the new season with some of the players leaving after their contracts expired. Those are Kabongo Tshimanga, Ross Fitzsimons, Jack Clarke, Tom Whelan, and Emmanuel Oyeleke.
Provisional lineup: Tyrer, Grimes, Maguire, Clements, Williams, Naylor, Oldaker, Hobson, Mandeville, Grigg, Asante.
Sheffield United
After a great run in the Championship last season, Sheffield United is coming back to the Premier League. The fans are desperate to see some important new players coming in to strengthen the squad, but the club's management has failed thus far in getting any new signings. On the other side of things, there were a few players who left after their contracts ended, the list includes Jack O'Connell, Enda Stevens, Billy Sharp, Kyron Gordon, and Jake Eastwood. Sheffield United will start its Premiership campaign in a month which doesn't give much time to the club's brass in getting some new players in to practice with the squad ahead of the new season. Rhian Brewster is injured at this time.
Provisional lineup: Foderingham, Ahmedhodzic, Egan, Lowe, Bogle, Berge, Norwood, Fleck, Coulibaly, McBurnie, Osula.
Player to Watch: Sander Berge
It has been over three years since Sander Berge joined Sheffield United from Genk and it's been a whirlwind experience for the Norwegian midfielder. He has accumulated 109 appearances for Sheffield United scoring 15 goals and delivering 12 assists in the process and with five more games he will surpass his numbers at Genk as far as appearances are concerned.
Berge started his career in Asker, a small club in his native country, and moved rather quickly to Valerenga which was his final stop in Norway before he moved to Belgium with Genk. Berge has played 36 times for Norway's national team scoring one goal.
Starting lineups
Starting lineups are usually released 60 minutes before kick-off.
