Chelsea‘s academy is one of the most productive in the world. Genesis Antwi is being touted as the Blues' next big talent, having already caught the eye of several European clubs, including OGC Nice and Olympique de Marseille.
In recent years, countless highly promising players have emerged from Chelsea's youth system. While the Blues spend heavily on the transfer market, they know they can also rely on academy graduates.
But it is also a way of generating significant sales to comply with financial fair play regulations. Of late, the English league has been closely monitoring Chelsea's spending.
Nice and Marseille circling Chelsea starlet
At every transfer window, players are therefore sold to ease the financial burden. Will that be the case for Genesis Antwi, one of Chelsea's young gems? Last season, he made his first professional appearances in the Conference League.
According to TEAM talk, the 18-year-old right-back is attracting interest from several clubs. Among the interested parties are OGC Nice, Marseille and AS Roma.

All three clubs have enquired with Chelsea about Genesis Antwi's situation. Trained as a right-back, he is also capable of operating on the left flank, a rare versatility at that position which understandably appeals to certain clubs.
This season, he has impressed in the Youth League, scoring 2 goals and providing one assist. A Sweden Under-21 international (3 caps), he is destined for a bright future.
Rosenior factor could change everything
For the time being, he does not appear to feature in Chelsea's plans, but caution is advised as Liam Rosenior is known for not looking at his players' ages and could offer him playing time if he believes Genesis Antwi is ready for the Premier League.
His price is listed at £297,000 (€350,000) on Transfermarkt, but it is clear that this does not truly reflect his value, nor the fee Chelsea could demand in the event of a departure. Marseille and Nice remain on the lookout for the opportunity.
