Celtic v Hibernian Lineups, Team News, and Match Preview

Celtic

Celtic won yet again last time out with a convincing 3-1 win away to St Johnstone. This saw Callum McGregor, Matt O'Riley and James Forrest all score goals each to put the league leaders on a record of 12 wins, three draws and no defeats. Better yet, they've now racked up an impressive 38 goals and let in only nine after 15 league matches.

Furuhashi was taken off and booked in the win away to St Johnstone, but he is going to be fit to play in this game. Reo Hatate, James McCarthy and Daizen Maeda are still out injured.

Probable lineup: Hart (GK), Taylor, Scales, Carter-Vickers, Johnston, Turnbull, McGregor, O'Riley. Palma, Furuhashi, Yang.

Hibernian

Hibernian are looking no different to last season, as they finished fifth that year and sit in the same spot right now. In fact, with 22 goals scored and 21 let in by winning only a third of their league games (five), the club's inconsistencies are clear to see.

Lewis Miller scored and was sent off in the win over Dundee but can now return. Elie Youan has now also returned to the squad and should start.

Probable lineup:  Marshall (GK), Obita, Bushiri, Fish, Miller Tavares, Newell, Levitt, Campbell, Vente, Boyle.

Starting lineups

Starting lineups are usually released 60 minutes before kick-off.

Player to Watch: Kyogo Furuhashi

With 27 goals in his second Scottish Premiership campaign last time out, Kyogo Furuhashi secured the top scorer award and won a variety of individual accolades, including the PFA Scotland Players' Player of the Year.

So far, in 2023/24, the Japan international has scored six times from 15 games, and trails only a handful of players in the race for his second consecutive top scorer trophy.
