This will be Burnley's first home game this season without Scott Parker in charge.
Unfortunately for him, he was recently relieved of his duties after confirmed relegation back to the Championship, and replaced by interim boss Michael Jackson.
The Clarets suffered the same fate under Vincent Kompany too, and are developing an unwanted reputation of being a “yo-yo” club.
Still, they can at least play for pride in these final three games, starting with Villa, and have reported no fresh concerns ahead of the match, with Connor Roberts set to play for the U21s as he continues his recovery from injury.
As for Villa, they will want to carry the euphoria of reaching the Europa League final into this game and their remaining matches in the Premier League, as they aim to finish in the top five and guarantee Champions League football for next season.
The emphatic victory over Forest was also important as it ended a three-game losing streak in all competitions for them, a habit they will need to get out of to ensure a top-five finish.
It is admittedly a short turnaround for Unai Emery's side, but given the gulf in quality between them and Burnley as emphasised by their respective league positions, they should still have too much for them here.
Goalscorer on the night Ollie Watkins had to have his head bandaged after a collision with an opposition player, but he should be fit and firing ahead of the clash, and will certainly be a danger to the Clarets.

Whispers predicts: Burnley 1-3 Aston Villa
Villa are 13/20 favourites to win, and while we side with the bookies, we want to explore some more ambitious bets.
Our first pick is BTTS – Yes at 4/5, which has come through in the last six H2Hs.
Over those six meetings, 23 total goals were shared at an average of around 3.8 per game, so Over 3.5 goals at 15/8 is our next bet.
The previous two H2Hs at Turf Moor have also ended in a 3-1 Villa win, so Correct score – 1-3 at 13/1 could be worth a final punt.
> BTTS – Yes at 4/5 | Likelihood: Probable
> Over 3.5 goals at 15/8 | Likelihood: Possible
> Correct score – 1-3 at 13/1 | Likelihood: Outsider
