Bosnia-Herzegovina needed a late equaliser to salvage a point in their clash with Sweden on Friday night.

Despite not being one of the pre-tournament favourites in Group B4, Sergej Barbarez's troops have had an impressive Nations League campaign so far; they are unbeaten in three group outings and are second, having earned five points from a possible nine.

Few teams have a record like Bosnia-Herzegovina in this tournament. Every time they play in the second tier, they finish first and win promotion. Yet every time they reach the top tier, they finish last and get relegated right back.

The hosts could move up to first place with a victory here, but that would also depend on the outcome of Sweden's clash with Romania on Monday night.

Head coach Barbarez will have to do without Kerim Alajbegovic, who netted the leveller against Sweden before picking up an injury. Experienced defender Sead Kolasinac is expected to lead the backline alongside Tarik Muharemovic and Nikola Katic, while Edin Dzeko could make his first start of the Nations League following Alajbegovic's injury.

On the other hand, Poland are coming off an impressive 6-0 victory over Romania, their first win by a six-goal margin since a 7-1 triumph over San Marino in September 2021.

The visitors have struggled to find their stride in recent months, as they were on a five-match winless streak prior to that victory.

As things stand, Jan Urban's side are third in Group B4 with five points. They will have to do without the injured Jakub Kaminski and the suspended Robert Lewandowski.

In the absence of captain Lewandowski, coach Urban will be forced to make alterations, especially in the final third. Karol Swiderski is a major candidate to lead the line, with Sebastian Szymanski and Nicola Zalewski providing attacking support from the wings.

There have been six previous skirmishes between these outfits and Poland have won four of them, with the other two ending in stalemates. However, it is worth mentioning that the reverse fixture of this clash was a goalless draw.

Whispers Predicts: Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-1 Poland

Priced at 7/5 (2.40), Poland are considered favourites by the bookies ahead of this clash.

However, the visitors have managed one win in their last six outings, and considering that Bosnia-Herzegovina have held their own against every opponent they have faced in this competition, we are confident that the spoils will be shared after 90 minutes.

Both teams were on the scoresheet in six of Bosnia-Herzegovina's last eight fixtures, and this can be backed at 3/4 (1.75).

We also fancy under 2.5 total goals at 19/20 (1.95), as was the case in three of the hosts' last four matches.
