In the final round of games in group B of the World Cup, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Qatar will square off in an important contest in Seattle on Wednesday.
The two nations both sit on a point after meetings with Canada and Switzerland, leaving them three points behind those two, meaning a win may be required for either to advance in second place or as one of the best third-placed teams.

Bosnia and Herzegovina return to action in Seattle on Wednesday in search of a win which could guarantee their progression to the World Cup round of 32.
They qualified for this summer's tournament in dramatic fashion, finishing second in their group and advancing to a playoff, where they got the better of Wales in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw, before meeting Italy in the final with a World Cup spot on the line and again coming out on top after a 1-1 draw and spot kicks.
The Dragons geared up with warm-up friendlies against North Macedonia and Panama, drawing both, before sharing the points in their group opener against joint-hosts Canada, having led 1-0 through Jovo Lukic and been held to a 1-1 draw by Cyle Larin's second-half leveller.
A California meeting with Switzerland then followed last time out, and Sergej Barbarez's side failed to build on their bid to progress, succumbing to a 4-1 beating with Ermin Mahmic's injury-time goal nothing more than a consolation.
Now likely needing a victory to stand a chance of progressing, with Tarik Muharemovic suspended after his red card last time out, knowing that a win, a loss for Canada against Switzerland and a nine-goal swing in goal difference would be needed for second spot, but a four-point tally should leave them as one of the best third-placed teams and in good standing to book a final-32 spot.
Their opponents come into the clash in a similar position in need of a victory for their hopes of progressing.
After hosting in 2022, Qatar earned a second consecutive and second-ever World Cup spot in Asian qualifying, finishing fourth in their third-round group and pipping United Arab Emirates and Oman to a group-stage place in a decisive three-nation group contested in October.
A tough run has followed since, with The Maroon One now winless in eight matches, having had an unsuccessful Arab Cup run, a loss and a draw in warm-up friendlies and a more creditable opening World Cup draw with Switzerland, having trailed to a Breel Embolo goal before snatching a point through an injury-time Miro Muheim own goal.
Julnen Lopetegui's side then took on Canada in Vancouver and fell to a heavy 6-0 beating, having played the final 37 minutes and conceded three goals with nine men after Homam Al Amin and Assim Omer Madibo were sent off.
Like their opponents, Qatar can now only finish second if they win on Wednesday and Switzerland lose to Canada with a 12-goal swing in goal difference, due to the head-to-head tiebreak, but a win and total of four points should leave them in good standing in the ranking of third-placed nations.

Whispers predicts: Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 Qatar
Bosnia and Herzegovina have not scored two or more goals in any of their last seven matches, while Qatar have scored one or fewer goals in each of their last eight outings. We anticipate a low-scoring encounter and see Under 2.5 goals at 6/5 (2.20) as good value.
Bosnia and Herzegovina‘s defeat last time out was their first in the last 10 games, a span which has included four victories. We see them having superior quality on the international stage and back them to get past a Qatar side who suffered a 6-0 beating last time out and have two players suspended. They are priced at 21/50 (1.42) to win the game.
Edin Dzeko – Bosnia and Herzegovina's talisman and all-time top scorer – has only ever scored one goal on the World Cup stage, but the 40-year-old helped fire his nation into this summer's World Cup with six in qualifying. In what may be his final chance unless they can progress, we fancy him to score anytime in a game in which Bosnia should see far more chances going forward at 11/10 (2.10).
> Under 2.5 goals at 6/5 (2.20) | Likelihood: Possible
> Bosnia and Herzegovina to win at 21/50 (1.42) | Likelihood: Likely
> Edin Dzeko to score anytime at 11/10 (2.10) | Likelihood: Possible
