Under 1.5 Goals for Eintracht Frankfurt

Dortmund have conceded one or fewer goals in five of their last six matches.

Borussia Dortmund can leap to the top of the Bundesliga table when they take on visitors Eintracht Frankfurt at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday.

Second-placed Dortmund have 14 points and can move ahead of Bayern for at least a day if they avoid defeat against 11th-placed Eintracht Frankfurt, who have eight points, and with so much at stake at both ends of the table, there may not be a better time than now to take up a Coral welcome offer.

It would be understandable if Borussia Dortmund supporters had mixed feelings about their campaign, as while they are level on points with Bayern Munich and are one of two unbeaten teams in the division, the club have arguably failed to take advantage of their rivals' failings.

BVB have drawn each of their last two league outings, dropping four points in the same period that Bayern dropped two points in.

Niko Kovac's side often failed to capitalise on the Bavarians drawing in the Bundesliga last term, so to have missed the chance to take a four-point lead at this early stage of the campaign will be a major concern.

The head coach did oversee a 2-1 victory against Sabah in the Champions League on Tuesday, ending a streak of three games without a win.

Dortmund defender Emre Can is targeting a return to action in November, but since he has been ruled out, expect to see Nico Schlotterbeck, Joane Gadou and Waldemar Anton appear in a back three.

It is far too early to suggest that Eintracht Frankfurt are fighting a relegation battle given they are only two points from fifth-placed Mainz, but they have been inconsistent for a prolonged period and are three points from 17th-placed Union Berlin.

Head coach Adi Hutter did oversee a 1-0 win against FC Koln on October 16, and that was the visitors' first clean sheet in 14 Bundesliga fixtures.

The Eagles have not beaten Dortmund in their last three meetings, losing twice and drawing once, while they have won once in their past 11 encounters with BVB.

In the forward line, striker Jonathan Burkardt is almost certain to start alongside forward Younes Ebnoutalib.

Whispers predicts: Borussia Dortmund 3-1 Eintracht Frankfurt

With the two clubs competing at different ends of the table, it comes as no surprise to see the bookmakers back a Dortmund win at 12/25 (1.48).

Given Dortmund have conceded one or fewer goals in five of their last six games, it may be worthwhile to predict Under 1.5 Goals for Eintracht Frankfurt at 4/9 (1.44).

Frankfurt have conceded at least three goals in three of their last four league games, so it would make sense to back Over 2.5 Goals for Borussia Dortmund at 1/1 (2).

Maximilian Beier has averaged the second most shots per 90 of any player in the Dortmund squad in the Bundesliga this season (3.4), and perhaps backing Maximilian Beier to Score at 11/8 (2.38) would be sensible.

📈 Borussia Dortmund vs Eintracht Frankfurt — Whispers' Tips

> Under 1.5 Goals for Eintracht Frankfurt at 4/9 (1.44) | Likelihood: High

> Over 2.5 Goals for Borussia Dortmund at 1/1 (2) | Likelihood: Medium

> Maximilian Beier to Score at 11/8 (2.38) | Likelihood: Low
