Newcastle preview: Already in one final

Newcastle have made it through to the EFL Cup final once again after they secured a well-deserved 2-0 win over Arsenal on Wednesday night, making the aggregate scoreline 4-0 to the Magpies.

Jacob Murphy put into an empty net after Alexander Isak's shot rebounded right into his path in the 19th minute and early in the second 45, Anthony Gordon capitalised on some poor defending to make it 2-0.

Jamaal Lascelles, Harvey Barnes and Joelinton are all expected to miss out this weekend through injury.

Predicted lineup: Pope (GK), Livramento, Schar, Burn, Botman, Hall, Murphy, Miley, Longstaff, Wilson & Gordon

Gordon has six goals and five assists in the Premier League so far this season as well as one goal in the FA Cup and two in the EFL Cup.

Flash Gordon!

Eddie Howe rested a lot of his star players in the last round against Bromley and had to call upon them in the second half in order to progress, so we're expecting his big names to feature against Birmingham on Saturday.
