Belarus to win to nil

Belarus have won both previous meetings with San Marino without conceding, and the visitors have struggled to score consistently in the Nations League, while San Marino have also conceded heavily in their opening two matches of this campaign.

Belarus continue their 2026-27 UEFA Nations League campaign on Saturday when they welcome San Marino in League C Group 1, with the hosts still searching for their first victory of the campaign after taking one point from their opening two fixtures.

San Marino arrive at the match at the bottom of the group after back-to-back defeats, and will be looking to end a winless run that stretches back to November 2024. The visitors have a difficult task against a Belarus side that won both previous meetings between the nations.

Belarus began their Group 1 campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Albania before drawing 0-0 with Finland, results leaving Viktor Goncharenko's side third in the table, with one point separating them from Finland and Albania above them.

However, a home fixture against San Marino offers Belarus an opportunity to put their first win on the board before facing Finland on October 6.

Belarus have been regular participants in League C since the competition's inaugural season, having started in League D in 2018-19.

Their overall Nations League record stands at eight wins, 10 draws and seven defeats, and they will be aiming to add to that tally against the group's bottom side.

San Marino, meanwhile, have endured a difficult opening to the campaign, with Roberto Cevoli's team beaten 7-0 by Finland and then losing 3-0 to Albania, leaving them without a point or a goal after two matches.

They have conceded in both halves in six of their last seven internationals, underlining the defensive challenge they face in Belarus.

The visitors have struggled for results over a longer period, losing 16 of their last 17 matches in all competitions.

Their last win came against Liechtenstein in the Nations League in November 2024, although their promotion from League D in the 2024-25 edition was a notable achievement after they recorded two victories.

Belarus have a clear advantage in the head-to-head record, having beaten San Marino 5-0 and 2-0 in the 2018-19 Nations League.

Whispers predicts: Belarus 3-0 San Marino

Belarus have had their own struggles, but they face a San Marino defence that has already conceded 10 times in this campaign and scored none, making Belarus to win to nil at 1/2 (1.50) a good bet.

San Marino's scoring record offers little evidence that they will trouble Belarus consistently, and their limited return across previous Nations League campaigns makes an away goal difficult to predict with confidence, making Both teams to score – No at 11/25 (1.44) another solid pick.

A 3-0 scoreline at 5/1 (6.00) is our prediction, with the hosts capable of taking control while keeping San Marino at arm's length.
