Barnet vs Fleetwood Town predictions: Visitors to draw first blood
Key stats
- Fleetwood Town opened the scoring in five of their last six matches.
- In contrast, Barnet conceded first in four of their last five games.
- Four of Barnet's last five matches featured goals at both ends.
Correct score prediction: Barnet 1-3 Fleetwood Town
Despite being the overwhelming favourites, Barnet were eliminated from the EFL Cup at home by Newport County earlier this week. Dean Brennan's men have struggled to find their stride, winning only one of their last five matches.
In contrast, Fleetwood Town are in high spirits after winning three consecutive games. While Barnet spent the last seven seasons in the fifth tier of English football, Fleetwood have played in League One for all but one of the last 10 years.
Taking everything into account, we are confident that Fleetwood Town will emerge victorious.

Fleetwood Town preview: Looking to extend their winning streak
Unlike their hosts, Fleetwood Town had a somewhat average season in the fourth tier last campaign. In 2023, the Fishermen were relegated from League One, and under Charlie Adam, they began the season poorly, which brought about the manager's sacking.
Replaced by Pete Wild, Fleetwood got their act together and finished the term in 14th place. Having strengthened their frontline this summer with the acquisition of Will Davies, James Norwood and Ched Evans, the Fishermen will look to regain their status as a third-tier club this season.
Ryan Graydon scored four goals during the team's preseason games. He is expected to line up in attack alongside Will Davies.
Fleetwood come into this game free from injuries and suspensions, giving Wild the opportunity to decide his strongest XI.
Predicted lineup: Lynch (GK), Rooney, Mullarkey, Bolton, Potter, Hume, Neal, Bonds, Davies & Graydon.

Player to watch: Mark Shelton

Mark Shelton is Barnet's designated penalty taker. The former Salford City midfielder scored five goals in his last four appearances and four of those came from the spot. He will look to kick off the new campaign on a scoring note.
