Belgium vs Azerbaijan lineups and latest team news
Belgium
Belgium's “golden generation” was considered finished when they crashed out of the group stages of the 2022 World Cup but after another impressive Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, hope is once again in the air. A combination of old heads and new blood seems to be working with Romelu Lukaku still banging the goals in for the Red Devils.
While Lukaku will start the game on Sunday, other members of the golden generation such as Kevin de Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois will miss out through injury. Youngsters Jeremy Doku and Jorne Spileers will also feature, as Tedesco's men look to finish qualifying with a bang.
Predicted lineup
Sels – Castagne, Faes, Sileers, Theate – Tielemans, Mangala – Carrasco, Trossard, Doku – Lukaku
Azerbaijan
Despite many people expecting them to be the whipping boys of Group F, Azerbaijan have fared better than expected. On Thursday night, they recorded one of their most impressive victories of all time, beating Sweden by 3-0 on home soil. As a result, Gianni De Biasi will want to start with the same eleven players again on Sunday.
Unfortunately for De Biasi that won't be possible as Bahlul Mustafazada will miss out due to suspensions after his record card on Thursday. Hojjat Haghverdi will come in for Mustafazada but any other changes would be a huge surprise given how well Azerbaijan played against Sweden.
Predicted lineup
Mehemmedeliyev – Mammadov, Haghverdi, Kryvotsiuk, Cafarguliyev – Bayramov, Isayev, Diniyev, Sheydayev – Mahmudov, Dadashov
