Porto are in action for the first time since clinching the Portuguese Primeira Liga title when they journey to the Estadio do CD das Aves to face AVS on Sunday.

AVS have pieced together a commendable run of form down the final stretch of the season, but their resurgence arrived too late to alter their fate, with relegation already sealed for the Vila das Aves outfit.
Joao Henriques’s men made it four straight matches without defeat last Saturday when they fought back from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Nacional at the Estadio da Madeira.

With second-placed Benfica dropping two points in a 2-2 draw against Famalicao, Jan Bednarek’s 40th-minute strike was enough to help the Dragoes complete the double against Alverca and clinch the title with two games to spare.
With 27 wins and four draws, it has been a stellar campaign under 37-year-old head coach Francesco Farioli, who has guided Porto to their first league crown since the 2021-22 season in his first year at the helm of affairs.
Porto head into the weekend on a run of four consecutive Primeira Liga victories and are unbeaten in their last 12 league matches, claiming nine wins and three draws since a 2-1 defeat against Casa Pia on February 2.
