Austria are set to take on Kazakhstan on Thursday, 14 November as part of the penultimate round of Nations League group stage matches.
Austria come into the match in second place in League B, Group Three but with Slovenia and Norway on the same points as them, a win here is paramount if they want to finish in the top two.
Kazakhstan are rock bottom after picking just one point from four matches. They need a miracle to avoid relegation but a win here would at least take it to the final match on Sunday.
As part of our latest round of Nations League betting tips, here is our Kazakhstan vs Austria prediction.

Key stats
- Austria are undefeated in three of their last four matches.
- Kazakhstan have failed to win any of their last eight matches (one draw, seven losses).
- Three of Austria's four Nations League matches have produced more than two goals.
Correct score prediction: Kazakhstan 0-3 Austria
Kazakhstan are currently in terrible form, with League B seemingly possessing too much quality for them to handle. They will benefit from the drop to League C but not before another humbling at the hands of Austria who have won their last two matches by a combined margin of eight goals.

- HOME: 9/1 (10.00) – 10%
- DRAW: 5/1 (6.00) – 16.7%
- AWAY: 1/4 (1.25) – 80%

Most recent H2Hs: Advantage Austria
Austria won the most recent clash between the two sides last month when they ran out as emphatic 4-0 winners in Vienna. The clash in October was the first match between Austria and Kazakhstan since 2012. On that occasion, Austria once again won 4-0 so there are plenty of ominous signs for Kazakhstan coming into this one.

Kazakhstan preview: Ready to return to their level
There is no doubt that Kazakhstan have been punching above their weight at this level of the Nations League and the results have shown. In reality, they should be proud of the fact they have managed to pick a point against Norway but a return to Group C will provide them with far more realistic challenges and opportunities.
Predicted lineup: Shatskiy (GK) – Bystrov, Alip, Marochkin, Vorogovskiy – Darabayev, Tagybergen – Zaynutdinov, Islamkhan, Samorodov, Aymbetov

Austria preview: What's the ceiling under Rangnick?
Ralf Rangnick has done a sterling job with Austria since taking over two years ago and he will feel that he should secure promotion to League A from the position they are currently in. Beyond that, if they can keep improving at a similar rate then they could enter the 2026 World Cup as dark horses.
Predicted lineup: Pentz (GK), Posch, Danso, Lienhart, Mwene, Seiwald, Laimer, Schmid, Baumgartner, Sabitzer, Arnautovic

Player to watch: Marcel Sabitzer

Marcel Sabitzer is a very established player in Europe now but the role that Ralf Rangnick has trusted on to him as taken his game to new heights. Sabitzer plays in a more advanced position at international level than he ever has done in the club game but it appears to be a role that suits him down to the ground. He should enjoy himself against Kazakhstan.
