Aston Villa will welcome Newcastle to Villa Park on Saturday, 16 August, in one of the standout matches of the Premier League's opening weekend.
Both of these teams were involved in the race for the top five last season, with the Magpies pipping Villa to the post on the final day of the campaign.
Although neither side has had the summer they would have hoped for, there is still an expectation that they will both be in and around the top five this season.

Player to watch: Anthony Elanga

When Anthony Elanga signed for Newcastle at the beginning of the window, it looked as if it was going to be a smooth summer for the Magpies, but it has turned out to be anything but. Regardless, that shouldn't mask the fact that Elanga is a terrific player, who has the pace to exploit Villa's high line on Saturday.
