Villa's strong unbeaten run was ended emphatically by Bournemouth in midweek.
While the Villans would have liked to go far in the Carabao Cup, their priority remains the Premier League and trying to qualify for the Champions League again.
After a slow start, Unai Emery's side are in ninth, having impressively beat Manchester City 2-1 on home soil.
They appear to have no fresh injury concerns, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka having missed their last three matches.
As for Fulham, Ryan Sessegnon remains suspended, but they also have no new injury worries.
That will please Alvaro Arbeloa, who is looking to build on back-to-back league wins.
They were both 1-0 victories against Coventry City and Hull City, and having also faced newly-promoted Ipswich Town before, now play one of the Premier League's established sides.
The Cottagers are underdogs on away soil, but will come into this with an increase in belief.

Whispers predicts: Aston Villa 2-1 Fulham
Aston Villa are favourites with bookies, and given their strong league form, we are backing Villa to win at 1/1 (2.00).
However, Fulham could cause them problems, and BTTS – Yes at 8/13 (1.62) also appeals.
Having scored a brace in Villa's win over Man City, Nicolas Jackson to score anytime at 7/5 (2.40) is our final pick.
Overall, we are predicting a 2-1 Villa victory, which is available at 17/2 (9.50).
> BTTS – Yes at 1.62 | Likelihood: High
> Villa to win at 2.00 | Likelihood: Medium
> Jackson to score anytime at 2.40 | Likelihood: Medium
