Arsenal to win

Arsenal have won six of their last seven games (D1).

Arsenal and Manchester City have the chance to make a major statement for the rest of the season when they take on each other in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Both teams are locked in the Premier League title race, with the Gunners holding the edge, and a win here could propel either side towards another piece of major silverware.

Arsenal are also in the Champions League and FA Cup, and so are targeting an unprecedented treble, while City are also in the FA Cup but were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid in midweek.

Arsenal vs Manchester City key stats

  • Arsenal are unbeaten in 14 games in all competitions (W11, D3).
  • City are winless in three matches across all competitions.
  • Arsenal are also unbeaten in the previous six H2Hs (W3, D3).

Arsenal are still in with the chance of winning a spectacular quadruple, which has never been done by a men's team in English football.

Starting with the Carabao Cup, the Gunners could also win the FA Cup, Premier League and Champions League this season.

🔍 Whispers Insight

Eberechi Eze has registered six goal contributions in his last nine appearances (G4, A2).

City have been a familiar foe to them in recent campaigns, as they have beaten them to a league title twice in the previous three seasons, where three times Mikel Arteta's side finished second.

Now, they are favourites to go one better in the league, and Arteta will hope that a win on Sunday against his former colleague Pep Guardiola can springboard them to have a truly memorable campaign.

Guardiola is a serial winner though, especially in the Carabao Cup, and will be determined to see his team lift silverware once more at Wembley.

🔍 Whispers Insight

Man City have won just once in five games (D2, L2).

City are perhaps not the beast they once were though, which gives Arsenal a decent chance of beating them.

Wounded by being knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid, as well as recently dropping points in the league, the Cityzens are vulnerable right now.

However, they still have a chance to win the domestic treble this season, starting with the Carabao Cup.

Whispers predicts: Arsenal 2-1 Manchester City

Given their superior form and undefeated record in recent H2Hs, we are backing Arsenal to win at 7/5 with Unibet.

In terms of other bets, the BTTS market is worth exploring considering it has come through in the previous three meetings, and also when they last played each other at Wembley, which was a Community Shield triumph for Arsenal in 2023.

BTTS - Yes at 4/5 with Betfred is therefore another of our picks.

In terms of a more ambitious bet, we like the goalscorer market and specifically Eberechi Eze to score anytime at 15/4 with Sporting Index.

The midfielder is fresh off the back of scoring a thunderbolt against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League in midweek, and also netted the winner in the FA Cup final for Crystal Palace against City at Wembley last season.

Overall, we believe that Arsenal will just edge the final, and our 2-1 prediction is available at 17/2 with some bookmakers.

📈 Whispers' Tips

> Arsenal to win at 7/5 | Likelihood: Possible

> Eberechi Eze to score anytime at 15/4 | Likelihood: Outsider
