Arsenal vs. Everton: Surprise Declan Rice odds to back for Premier League clash

Arsenal return to Premier League action against Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners got a credible 2-2 draw at Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek, and will look to build on that with another league victory.

Mikel Arteta's men have won back-to-back against Leeds United and Nottingham Forest, and will aim to win three in a row against Everton.

One player that can help them do that is Declan Rice, and here is why we are backing Rice to score or assist at 9/4 (3.25).

Arsenal vs. Everton: Rice is racking up numbers

Rice scored his first goal of the season against Bayern, an important one as it salvaged a point for Arsenal.

He has now contributed a goal or an assist in five of his last eight club appearances (G1, A4), and is currently joint-top in the assists chart in the Premier League (four).

With key attackers Bukayo Saka and Christos Tzolis injured, Arsenal will look to Rice to contribute more in the final third of the pitch.

The midfielder is more than capable, and against a probable low-block from Everton, Rice should have license to join attacks whenever he can at the Emirates.

Arsenal vs. Everton: Gunners favourites to win

Arsenal are 6/13 (1.46) favourites with bookmakers to win, and in turn this should see Rice having more of the ball and driving forward.

This would see him more likely to score or assist, which we feel is priced generously.

Surprisingly, seven players who are fit to play have been priced shorter than Rice to register a goal or an assist, which makes his odds even more tempting.

Thus, we are backing Rice to play a key part for Arsenal here.
