It's time for our Premier League predictions ahead of a London derby on Tuesday night between Arsenal and Chelsea. The Gunners returned to winning ways over the weekend after the disappointment of that home defeat against Aston Villa, which was followed by their Champions League exit at the hands of Bayern Munich.

Chelsea followed up their 6-0 win against Everton with a decent but ultimately losing performance in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City, but a strong end to the season could see the Blues earn European qualification.

Key Stats

  • Arsenal are unbeaten in their last five games against Chelsea, picking up four wins and one draw. The Gunners head into Tuesday's match on the back of three wins from their last six and look back to their old selves following a 2-0 win at Wolves.
  • Mikel Arteta's side have scored at least two goals in four of their last six outings in league and cup, while Chelsea have only failed to score in one of their last six fixtures, which is why a 2-1 scoreline in Arsenal's favour seems appropriate.
  • Four of the last five competitive encounters between these two clubs have produced over 2.5 goals, and five of Chelsea's last six matches have also witnessed at least three goals.

Player to watch – Leandro Trossard

Arsenal's Belgian international midfielder played a major role in the club returning to winning ways at the weekend, keeping them well in this three-horse title race.

Leandro Trossard's goal against Wolves was his ninth in the Premier League this season, taking him level with Kai Havertz, with only Bukayo Saka scoring more times so far this season.

Helped get Arsenal back to winning ways at the weekend

We're backing the 29-year-old to put in another big performance on Tuesday night in what has the potential to be a very tricky game for the Gunners against a Chelsea side that only lost narrowly to Manchester City at the weekend.
