Arsenal will host Burnley on Monday, 18 May, in the penultimate round of the Premier League.

The Gunners are so close to winning their first title since 2004 and a win over the already-relegated Burnley would get them one step closer to it.

After sailing through some treacherous waters, Arsenal have steadied the ship lately and, along with Man City's slip against Everton, they are now back in the driver's seat in the title race, like they were for most of the season.

That being said, the race is not over yet, but all that Arsenal need to do is win their final two games against Burnley and Crystal Palace and they will finally win the long-awaited Premier League title, the first since the 2003-04 season.

It is a perfect situation for Arsenal since Burnley have already been relegated and the match with Crystal Palace is scheduled three days before the Eagles are set to appear in the Conference League final, their first-ever European final.

Of course, Arsenal also have a chance to lift the Champions League trophy for the first time in the club's history, but that will be a much tougher task since their opponent in the final will be the defending champions PSG.

In any case, the Gunners are now focused on the Premier League title and their match against Burnley, in which they won't be able to count on Jurrien Timber, Mikel Merino, and Ben White, while Riccardo Calafiori is questionable.

On the other hand, Burnley's season has effectively been over for a long time since they've been officially relegated since 22 April, nearly three months ago.

That being said, Burnley will hope to cause an upset against Arsenal on Monday and play a huge part in the title race, but they enter this match on a streak of 10 games without a win, seven of which they've lost.

Burnley will miss injured Jordan Beyer and Josh Cullen in this game.

Whispers predicts: Arsenal 2-0 Burnley

There is little doubt about the outcome of this game since Arsenal are huge favourites to win, so if you want to back them and improve the odds a bit, betting on Arsenal to win to nil sounds like a good move.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's recent games and their sturdy defence suggest that we won't see many goals in this game. Yes, goal difference could come into play as a deciding factor in the title race, which is why the odds on under 2.5 total goals are quite enticing at 21/10.

Lastly, we suggest backing Viktor Gyokeres to score the first goal of the game at 23/10 odds. He has done this twice in the last four Arsenal matches and in their first meeting with Burnley this season, Gyokeres was also the first name on the scoresheet.

📈 Arsenal vs Burnley — Whispers' Tips

Arsenal to win to nil at 4/7 | Likelihood: Probable

Under 2.5 total goals at 21/10 | Likelihood: Possible

Viktor Gyokeres first scorer at 23/10 | Likelihood: Possible

Correct score: 2-0 at 13/2 | Likelihood: Outsider
