Rodrygo has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid throughout the summer, yet the Brazilian remains at the Santiago Bernabeu with just days remaining in the transfer window. However, Arsenal are reportedly preparing a bold approach to try to bring him to the Premier League.

Despite joining the Spanish giants back in 2019 and playing a key role in two Champions League triumphs, the 24-year-old has been made available for transfer following a disappointing campaign. The emergence of young stars such as Franco Mastantuono and Arda Guler has further intensified speculation over his future.

That said, manager Xabi Alonso recently stated that he plans to keep Rodrygo in the squad this season. A €100m (£85.2m) price tag had previously been mentioned as the figure required to convince Los Blancos to sell. However, according to TBR Football, Arsenal are instead considering a loan move for the winger.

Gunners explore loan approach for Rodrygo

The report claims that Arsenal are keen to sign Rodrygo on loan, offering him a chance to remain a regular starter ahead of the 2026 World Cup, while also easing selection pressure on Xabi Alonso, who has an increasingly crowded squad.

It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid would accept such an arrangement. Rodrygo is under contract until June 2028 and continues to hold significant market value. However, a permanent sale would likely be more appealing to the Spanish club as they look to raise funds.

Manchester City were also previously interested in the Brazil international, but have since pulled out of the race following the decision to keep Savinho at the Etihad Stadium for the current season.

As it stands, Arsenal appear to have a clear path to negotiate their proposed loan deal.
