Despite registering the first goal, Deportivo Alaves succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at Racing Santander on Saturday.
While the Basque side have no wins in two away games so far, they have had a perfect three wins from three at home, scoring nine goals in the process.
Lucas Boye (4 goals) and Mariano Diaz (6 goal contributions) have been in sensational form for the hosts and are expected to partner in attack once again.
Aitor Manas has a head injury and is unavailable, while Facundo Garces and Mikel Rodriguez have long-term cruciate ligament injuries that rule them out for the remainder of the campaign.
On the other hand, Valencia are coming off a 1-0 defeat against Sevilla. This has not been a particularly pleasant campaign for Los Che, as they are currently on a four-match losing streak and have no wins in their last eight games of the season.
At the time of writing, Carlos Corberan's troops are at the bottom of the La Liga table and are 17 places behind third-place Alaves.
The visitors are plagued by injuries, as Luis Rioja, Diego Lopez, Sergi Canos, Mouctar Diakhaby, Cesar Tarrega, and Umar Sadiq are all ruled out for this clash, while Dimitri Foulquier's fitness will need to be assessed.
In addition to having one of the worst defences in the Spanish top flight, Valencia have been the league's least efficient side when it comes to finding the net, as they have scored just once in five La Liga outings this term.
Although Valencia were victorious in the last H2H, they have managed one win in their last seven meetings with Alaves. In fact, Los Che have failed to win eight consecutive trips to this stadium in regulation time (D3, L5).

Whispers Predicts: Alaves 2-0 Valencia
Priced at 10/11 (1.91), Deportivo Alaves are considered favourites by the bookmakers ahead of this clash.
Valencia have been the league's worst team so far, and considering their recent results at this stadium, we are confident that Alaves will maintain their perfect home record with a fairly comfortable victory.
Six of the last eight encounters between these teams went below the 2.5-goal line, and this can be backed at 7/10 (1.70).
We also fancy under 0.5 Valencia goals at 5/4 (2.25). The visiting team drew blanks in five of their last six matches across all competitions.

> BTTS – No at 4/5 (1.80) | Likelihood: Probable
