AIK vs Goteborg prediction: AIK to return to winning ways with narrow victory
Key stats
- Our AIK vs Goteborg betting tips acknowledge that the home side have lost just one of their 13 league games this season, winning seven and drawing five.
- However, AIK have won just one of their last seven matches across all competitions. In that span, they have managed to find the back of the net just six times while also conceding double that amount at the other end.
- On the other hand, Goteborg are on a three-game winning streak in the league to mark an upturn in form off the back of three consecutive defeats prior.
- Fast starts have been crucial to Goteborg's recent renaissance, as they have opened the scoring in each of their last four matches.
Correct score prediction: AIK 3-2 Goteborg
AIK are one of only two teams in the Swedish top flight still yet to lose a league game on home turf this term, and while Goteborg have been impressive on their travels, we are backing the home side to come away with all three points.
Pre-game odds and win probability: AIK backed to emerge triumphant
- HOME: 10/11 (1.91) – 52.4%
- DRAW: 21/10 (3.10) – 32.3%
- AWAY: 11/4 (3.75) – 26.7%

AIK are favourites to see off Goteborg, as shown by their 52.4% win probability. However, they will need to be at their best to avoid any potential upset.
Mikkjal Thomassen's men were beaten 2-1 by IK Sirius in a friendly matchup last time out for a third straight defeat off the back of losses against Bodo/Glimt and the aforementioned Sirius.
Goals in either half from Isak Bjerkebo and August Ljungberg left AIK with a mountain to climb before Johan Hove pulled one back 11 minutes from time.
Goteborg, meanwhile, played out a thrilling 3-3 stalemate against Oster, which denied them win number four on the bounce.
Max Fenger came up clutch for his side with a second-half double to rescue them from the jaws of defeat.

Player to watch – Max Fenger
Max Fenger is one of the hottest attackers in Swedish football at the moment after racking up 13 goals in 18 matches since joining Goteborg from Danish outfit Odense.
The 23-year-old has already equalled his best-ever scoring season in the league and is on course to smash his previous record by some distance.

Increased attacking responsibility for Fenger in the absence of Heintz and Thordarson
Fenger, Heintz and Thordarson have scored a combined 12 goals so far to account for 75% of their team's total tally.
However, Heintz and Thordarson will not take part in Sunday's game due to suspension, meaning that Fenger must be on song if his side are to stand any chance of securing a positive result.
