6th Round
* Betting odds were correct at the time of publication but are subject to change
It's time for our Champions League predictions ahead of AC Milan's trip to St James' Park to face Newcastle.
Both teams know that this is a must-win game, and even then, three points might not be enough to see them qualify for the knockout stage as they also need PSG to falter at Dortmund.

Newcastle vs AC Milan prediction – Betting tips & odds
Hot Tip – Under 2.5 Goals
- The reverse fixture between these two teams ended in a goalless draw.
- Three of Newcastle's last six matches in all competitions have produced under 2.5 goals.
Another reason that we have backed under 2.5 goals as our main prediction is that AC Milan have only scored three goals in the group stage so far.

Newcastle vs AC Milan team news
Newcastle
Newcastle fans will feel hard done by after their last game against PSG when the visitors should have been awarded a penalty in what turned out to be a 1-1 draw. Isak fired Newcastle in front after 24 minutes and that goal alone looked like it was going to be enough for the Magpies to win the game, only for Mbappe to convert a stoppage-time penalty to make the final scoreline 1-1.
Nick Pope, Joseph Willock, Jacob Murphy, Dan Burn, Matthew Targett, Elliot Anderson, Sven Botman and Harvey Barnes could all miss the final group game due to injury.
Predicted Lineup: Dúbravka (GK), Trippier, Schär, Lascelles, Livramento, Almirón, Guimarães, Longstaff, Joelinton, Isak & Gordon
AC Milan
AC Milan fell behind at home to Dortmund but managed to equalise before the break through Samuel Chukwueze. However, the visitors scored a further two goals in the second half that won the game and confirmed Dortmund's place in the knockout stage.
Malick Thiaw, Noah Okafor, Marco Pellegrino, Pierre Kalulu, Simon Kjær and Marco Sportiello are all on the injury list for the visitors ahead of the trip to Newcastle.
Predicted Lineup: Maignan (GK), Florenzi, Calabria, Tomori, Hernández, Loftus-Cheek, Pulišić, Reijnders, Musah, Giroud & Chukwueze

Player to Watch: Alexander Isak
Newcastle's Swedish striker has been in good form this season and will be looking to score his second goal in the Champions League for the Magpies on Wednesday.
Isak heads into this crucial final group game for Newcastle in decent form, netting five goals in his last ten appearances for Newcastle and has managed to score a total of nine goals in all competitions so far this season.
Callum Wilson could return to the Newcastle squad for the AC Milan game but Isak will start the match and the main responsibility for scoring goals lands squarely on the Swedish international's shoulders.
Player to watch – Fikayo Tomori
Fikayo Tomori will be one of a handful of ex-Premier League players in the Milan XI hoping to impress at St. James’ Park this evening. The defender has been earning top reviews for his performances in Italy since deciding to swap Chelsea for new horizons in 2021 and the England international could be key to Milan’s chances of success on Tyneside.
Tomori has missed just one of AC Milan’s 15 Serie A fixtures this season though he has been an ever-present in the Champions League, starting all five of the Rossoneri’s five group games to date. Tomori was a standout performer when Milan drew 0-0 with Newcastle back in September.
