Wolfsberger vs PAOK prediction: Visitors to edge through
Key stats
- PAOK have only lost four of 11 meetings against Austrian clubs in their history.
- Wolfsberger have not made it to the group stage/league phase of a UEFA competition since 2020.
- PAOK failed to score in the first leg, but they found the net 10 times in four pre-season friendlies over the last month.
- Wolfsberger lost their only home game of the season so far – 2-0 to Altach on August 2.
Correct score prediction: Wolfsberger 1-2 PAOK (1-2 agg.)
PAOK are still fancied to progress despite not making the most of home advantage last week, and on paper, they have the much stronger side, especially in attacking areas, and European experience is most definitely on their side.
Pre-game odds and win probability: The hosts start as slight underdogs
- HOME: 2/1 (3.00) – 33.3%
- DRAW: 11/5 (3.20) – 31.3%
- AWAY: 11/8 (2.38) – 42.1%
*Odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change
The bookies are unwilling to throw much support to either side in this second leg, after the clash between the two ended goalless last week, but PAOK are the slight favourites, given their European pedigree.
PAOK are 7/10 to qualify, while Wolfsberger are just above Evens, but one thing that could be guaranteed is goals, after a cagey first leg, as both teams are expected to go for it here, and over 2.5 goals is priced generously at 11/10.

Most recent H2Hs: First competitve tie between the two
Last week’s first leg was the first meeting between the two clubs, and the first time Wolfsberger had faced Greek opposition in their history.
PAOK have plenty of experience of facing Austrian clubs, with last week’s tie being the 11th occasion they have met a team from the country, but they did lose 3-0 on their last visit, to Rapid Vienna in 2012.

Fabian Wohlmuth made his first start at right wing-back in the league win over Austria Vienna at the weekend, and may well have done enough to keep his place in the side for this one.

Player to watch: Giannis Konstantelias

The young star of PAOK’s attack, Konstantelias had another impressive campaign last season, and has since cemented his place in the Greek national side.
At just 22, Konstantelias already has six goals in UEFA competitions, and he scored seven from midfield last season, while also impressing away to Scotland for Greece, scoring and setting up two goals in a 3-0 win.
