Volendam preview: A clean bill of health
In one of only two draws last weekend in the Eredivisie, there was nothing to separate Volendam and Heerenveen, as both teams settled for a 1-1 draw.
The Eerste Divisie champions have no fresh injuries to contend with, but they will have their hands full against AZ Alkmaar, who currently have momentum on their side.
Azerbaijani midfielder Ozan Kokcu marked his debut last weekend with a goal, scoring Volendam’s first goal of the season to lay down an early marker in his premier season in Dutch football.

AZ Alkmaar preview: Looking to extend their winning run
Things are going swimmingly for the Cheese Farmers, who secured a UEFA Conference League playoff round spot earlier this week after beating Vaduz home and away in the third qualifying round.
AZ Alkmaar opened their Eredivisie campaign with a 4-1 victory over Groningen. With three straight wins under their belt in less than two weeks, Maarten Martens’ men will fancy their chances against an out-of-form Volendam side.
Troy Parrott will once again be tasked with leading the line for the visitors in Martens’ 4-2-3-1 setup. The Irishman has eight goals in his last five competitive outings for AZ.
Left-back Mees de Wit sustained a knock in the league opener, becoming an unused substitute against Vaduz. He is expected to be back in the starting XI for this weekend.
Predicted lineup: Zoet (GK), Kasius, Goes, Penetra, De Wit, Clasie, Smit, Poku, Mijnans, Daal & Parrott.

Player to watch: Troy Parrott

Troy Parrott scored the only goal in AZ Alkmaar's victory at Vaduz earlier this week. The former Ipswich Town forward has been unstoppable, scoring in each of his last five competitive appearances. He will look to extend that streak this weekend.
