🔥 Our Hot tip

First half draw

A first-half draw was played in their previous encounter.

The UEFA Champions League game continues as Villarreal host Juventus at the Estadio de la Ceramica in the second round on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into this crucial fixture having failed to win their opening game of the competition.

The home team lost to Tottenham in their first game, but went on to recover from the loss with three wins in La Liga, with their recent win being a 1-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao at home.

On the other hand, the visitors were involved in some high-scoring encounters in their first Champions League game, having played a dramatic 4-4 draw against Borussia Dortmund. Since then, they have failed to secure a win in their last three games, having drawn 1-1 with Atalanta in their last Serie A game.

Logan Costa and Pau Cabanes are both long-term absentees due to cruciate ligament injuries, with their return set for early April 2026. Willy Kambwala is also unavailable as he recovers from a hamstring issue. These injuries will force the manager to make adjustments and depend on the depth of his squad.

Fabio Miretti is also ruled out with a thigh problem and has a similar return timeframe. Arkadiusz Milik is unavailable due to a shin injury, leaving the manager with fewer attacking options to choose from.

Predicted lineup: Di Gregorio (GK), Kelly, Bremer, Gatti, Kalulu, Adzic, Cambiaso, Thuram, Koopmeiners, Yildiz & Vlahovic

Player to watch: Dusan Vlahovic

One key player to keep an eye on for Juventus is striker Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian international has been in fine form recently, scoring four goals and providing one assist in his last five matches.

His finishing and ability to trouble defenders have played a big role in Juventus’ strong start to the season. Vlahovic is expected to be a constant danger for the Villarreal defence.
