Despite not being a top-flight team, Vestri won the Icelandic Cup last season, securing a place in the Europa League qualifying rounds for the first time in history.
Not only was that cup triumph the hosts' first-ever major trophy, but they are also the first non-top flight team from Iceland to participate in a UEFA club competition.
