Guinea Olympic preview: Lost opening two group games

Guinea put in a much-improved performance against France from the one that saw them lose against New Zealand but they still ended up with nothing to show for their efforts.

This game looked like it might end goalless as Guinea defended manfully throughout but a late goal for the host nation secured a second defeat in as many games for the Africans.

Even a win for Guinea in their final group game is unlikely to be enough to see them qualify for the Quarter-Finals unless they win by at least two goals and results elsewhere go in their favour.

Predicted lineup: Sylla (GK), Soumah, Cissé, M. Keïta, Touré, N. Keïta, Diawara, Moriba, Baldé, Bah & Diallo

The 22-year-old midfielder earned promotion back to Serie A last season after scoring seven goals in 41 appearances in Serie B and has impressed a lot of scouts in Italy including Inter Milan and Fiorentina.

The USA Olympic captain looks set to have a big future in the game

The Venezia man will be hoping to guide USA Olympic to a medal position in Paris this summer and a win against Guinea will ensure their safe passage through to the Quater-Finals.
