Full-time draw

Full-time draws have been played in three of their last five meetings.

Napoli will be looking to extend their winning streak and push for the Serie A title when they travel to face Udinese on Sunday at the Bluenergy Stadium.

Udinese’s promising start to the season has faded badly, with Kosta Runjaic’s side losing four of their last six Serie A matches, including a disappointing 2–1 defeat to relegation-threatened Genoa on Monday.

The slump has pushed them out of the top half of the table, though they remain closer to the European spots than the relegation zone, so there’s no need for alarm just yet. The home team have won just one of their last ten home league games against teams starting the day inside the top two.

Napoli, meanwhile, have reignited their Scudetto defence with three straight Serie A victories, each coming against teams that finished in last season’s top five. Level on points with leaders AC Milan heading into this round, the Partenopei arrive in Udine looking to rebound from a 2–0 Champions League defeat to Benfica on Wednesday.

That setback ended a five-match winning streak in all competitions, and Antonio Conte will be keen to avoid consecutive defeats, particularly as five of his seven league losses at Napoli have come away from home.

Udinese vs Napoli prediction: Expect a draw despite Partenopei’s form

Key statistics

  • BTTS has been played in their last five meetings.
  • Napoli have played a 1-1 draw scoreline with Udinese in three of their last five encounters.
  • Three of their last five clashes have ended in a full-time draw.

Correct score prediction: Udinese 1-1 Napoli

Looking at the form Napoli are in heading into this clash, they are expected to win this game, but Udinese have always been a big problem for them at their home ground. Following this, we expect them to play out a draw.

The Partenopei’s defence are capable of frustrating opponents and we believe that both teams will score in this game, so we predict an unexpected 1-1 draw based on their previous encounters.

Pre-match odds and win probability: Napoli are favourites

  • Home: 16/5 (4.20) – 23.8%
  • Draw: 23/10 (3.30) – 30.3%
  • Away: 10/11 (1.91) – 52.4%

*Odds provided by Ladbrokes. Subject to change.*

Napoli are holding a slight edge at 1.91 odds (52.4%) based on the odds given by the bookmakers. Udinese are behind at 4.20 odds (23.8%), while the draw is a strong possibility at 3.30 odds (30.3%). Bookmakers expect a tight and competitive game, but there is a chance the away team will get the victory and a draw is on the cards.

Most recent head-to-head: The record tilt in favour of Napoli

Looking at the last five meetings between Udinese and Napoli, it shows that the Partenopei have not lost to the Bianconeri in those encounters. Napoli have secured two victories against Udinese in this sequence, with three matches ending in a draw.

Their last encounter saw a 1-1 draw in 2025 and their second meeting ended in a 3-1 victory for Napoli in 2024. They have also drawn in three of their last five clashes across all competitions.

Udinese preview: Injury concerns hit the team

Udinese face fresh selection issues ahead of this match as French midfielder Arthur Atta has been ruled out with a thigh problem after limping off during last week’s cup defeat to Juventus.

Wing-back Hassane Kamara remains a doubt, potentially paving the way for Rui Modesto to cover the left flank. Jordan Zemura is also sidelined with a flexor injury, leaving the hosts with limited options in key areas.

Predicted lineup: Okoye (GK), Bertola, Kabasele, Solet, Zanoli, Ekkelenkamp, Karlstrom, Piotrowski, Modesto, Zaniolo & Davis

Last five fixtures

  • 08.12.25 – Udinese 1–2 Genoa
  • 02.12.25 – Juventus 2–0 Udinese
  • 29.11.25 – Parma 0–2 Udinese
  • 22.11.25 – Udinese 0–3 Bologna
  • 13.11.25 – Udinese 6–2 Primorje

Napoli preview: Key absences continue to shape selection

Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne are still unavailable, but Napoli have leaned on new attacking contributors to maintain their momentum in Serie A. In midfield, Eljif Elmas has been deployed in an unfamiliar central role, as Billy Gilmour, Stanislav Lobotka and Frank Anguissa all remain sidelined.

First-choice goalkeeper Alex Meret is also out, adding to Antonio Conte’s selection challenges. There are some encouragement, though, as Lobotka returns to training and Spanish wing-back Miguel Gutierrez could be fit enough to feature on the bench.

Predicted lineup: Milinkovic-Savic (GK), Beukema, Rrahmani, Buongiorno, Di Lorenzo, McTominay, Elmas, Spinazzola, Politano, Neres & Hojlund

Last five fixtures

  • 10.12.25 – Benfica 2–0 Napoli
  • 07.12.25 – Napoli 2–1 Juventus
  • 03.12.25 – Napoli 2–1 Cagliari
  • 30.11.25 – AS Roma 0–1 Napoli
  • 25.11.25 – Napoli 2–0 Qarabag

Player to watch: Rasmus Hojlund

Rasmus Hojlund is the player to watch for Napoli, serving as their main attacking threat. The Danish striker has quickly become a key figure, already registering four goals and two assists across all competitions this season.

In his recent scoring form, he scored a brace against Juventus, showing his influence in the final third. With his speed and clinical finishing, Hojlund will be crucial in helping Napoli secure an important victory as they challenge for the title.
