Turkey will take on Italy on Monday, 28 September, as the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League continues.
Both sides enjoyed miserable starts to the current campaign, with Turkey losing 1-0 to France and Italy losing 2-0 to Italy. For either side to get back into the qualification picture, they must win on Monday night.

Italy's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Belgium will have felt very much like Groundhog Day for Italian fans who were hoping for more joy now that Roberto Mancini is back in charge.
However, Mancini's men put in the kind of performance that has seen Italy miss out on qualifying for two of the three major tournaments since they won Euro 2020.
The hope inside the camp will be that the defeat to Belgium was just a blip, as prior to the defeat, Italy had been in decent form, winning three of their previous four matches, with their only defeat coming to Bosnia & Herzegovina when they were down to 10 men.
As they look to respond against Turkey, Mancini will be able to call upon Alessandro Bastoni again following his suspension, but Federico Dimarco, Bryan Cristante and Manuel Locatelli are all injured.
As for Turkey, their 1-0 defeat to France perhaps wasn't as bad as Italy's loss to Belgium. For starters, Turkey were always expected to lose to France, and there is an argument they did well to keep the score down to 1-0.
This is a Turkey team that expects more of themselves, though, and after another disappointing major tournament, they would have wanted to give their supporters something to shout about.
Interestingly, Turkey are managed by former Italy striker Vincenzo Montella. This will be the second time he has faced his countrymen as a manager, and after drawing 0-0 last time, he will be keen to go one better on Monday night.
Montella is dealing with a couple of selection headaches ahead of this one. Ugurcan Cakir is out after being red-carded against France, while Hakan Calhanoglu and Kenan Yildiz are both injured.
