Second place is up for grabs in Group F, with Portugal already guaranteed the top spot, and it's Turkey who head into the final round of group games in the strongest position.

Vincenzo Montella's side face the Czech Republic on Wednesday night where if they can avoid defeat, they will remain in Euro 2024 but a defeat would see the Czech Republic progress.

Everything is on the line in what should be an exciting 90 minutes between two evenly matched teams.

Czech Republic preview: Lost a key player in the Georgia draw

The Czech Republic were only able to claim a point against Georgia on matchday two and now their Euro 2024 future will come down to a ‘must-win' game against Turkey.

The minnows participating in their first major tournament took the lead in first-half stoppage-time but Patrik Schick equalised in the 59th minute before picking up an injury and having to be withdrawn from the game.

Losing their top scorer from the last Euros, Schick, will be a big blow ahead of a big game against Turkey in which the Czech Republic are going to have to be at their very best so manager Ivan Hašek will be hoping that the injury isn't too serious.

Predicted lineup: Staněk (GK), Coufal, Holeš, Krejčí, Hranáč, Jurásek, Černý, Provod, Souček, Chytil & Hložek

Turkey preview: Taught a lesson by Portugal

Turkey didn't really turn up for their game against Portugal and ended up well beaten in the end.

After going behind to a Bernardo Silva effort, Turkey then became architects of their own downfall when defender Samet Akaydin played a poor back pass that resulted in a calamitous own goal. Portugal added a third goal in the second half to give Turkey a massive wake-up call ahead of the final round of group games.

Predicted lineup: Bayındır (GK), Ayhan, Bardakcı, Akaydin, Çelik, Çalhanoğlu, Kadıoğlu, Kökçü, Akgün, Aktürkoğlu & Yılmaz

Player to watch – Hakan Çalhanoğlu

Hakan Çalhanoğlu declared himself as the best playmaker in football yet the Inter Milan and Turkey star hasn't produced the goods at Euro 2024 so far.

The 30-year-old who has 87 caps and 18 goals for his country was anonymous during the 3-0 defeat to Portugal and really needs to up his game against the Czech Republic in what is a ‘must not lose' match.

Turkey need a big performance from their captain and talisman

We're expecting a big performance from Çalhanoğlu who should receive more time and space on the ball in the heart of the midfield against the Czech Republic, a position where he does the most damage to the opposition.

Potential next opponents

Ahead of the last round, Turkey are need at least a draw to secure the next stage. With a draw they would be second in the group, unless Georgia beat Portugal, in which case they would be third but secure the next stage. If they finish second, they will go up against Austria in the next stage. Turkey and Austria have a close H2H record, with seven wins for Turkey, nine for Austria, along with one draw.

Meanwhile, if Turkey lose, they could either finish third if Georgia fails to beat Portugal or fourth if Georgia wins. If they finish third, they need to lose by less than three goals to secure the next stage as one of the best third-placed teams. In this case, they would either go against England or Spain, depending on other results.

When it comes to Czech Republic, they can only get to the next stage with a win. In that case, they would almost certainly be second in the group, but they could also finish third if Georgia beats Portugal and also ends up with a better goal difference than Czech Republic.

In any case, they would go against Austria if they finish second or England/Spain if they finish third.
