Tromso to win and both teams to score

Tromso have conceded at least one goal in four of their last six wins..

Tromso will take on Molde in the Norwegian Eliteserien on Saturday, 5 July, in a match that will have ramifications at both ends of the league table.

The hosts' brilliant form in recent weeks has seen them catapult up the league table into the top four, while Molde's suffering has seen them edge closer to the drop zone.

As part of this week's round of Eliteserien betting tips, check out our Tromso vs Molde prediction below.

Tromso vs Molde prediction: Another easy win for the hosts

Key stats

  • Tromso have won six league matches in a row.
  • Molde have scored at least one goal in four of their last five defeats.
  • Three goals or more have been scored in six of Molde's last seven matches.

Correct score prediction: Tromso 3-1 Molde

There isn't a team in Norway with a better record over the past six matches than Tromso, not even the runaway leaders, Viking. Jorgen Vik's side are in the type of form that would make them a match for anyone, never mind a Molde side that has lost six of their last eight matches in all competitions.

Pre-game odds and win probability: Tromso are only narrow favourites

  • HOME: 23/20 (2.15) – 46.5%
  • DRAW: 23/10 (3.30) – 30.3%
  • AWAY: 9/5 (2.80) – 35.7%

*odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change

The Tromso vs Molde odds are a little surprising in that the bookies haven't priced Tromso shorter due to their form and the fact that they are the home team. Ladbrokes have given them a 46.5% chance of winning the match, while Molde have been given a 35.7% chance of picking up an invaluable three points on the road.

Tromso preview: A couple of injury concerns

Tromso are currently sweating over the fitness levels of two of their players, August Mikkelsen and Ieltsin Camoes. Both players have been forced off in the early stages of recent matches, but there is still hope that they could both make the starting XI for the match against Molde.

Predicted lineup: Haugaard (GK), Cornic, Skjaervik, Guddal, Kinteh, Norheim, Edvardsson, Jenssen, Hjerto-Dahl, Braut, Erlien

Molde preview: Two long-term absentees

Molde's poor form in recent weeks can be put down to a couple of key injuries. Neither Albert Posiadala nor Kristian Eriksen are expected to be ready to return for a while, which means Molde are going to need to find solutions quickly if they are to escape their current slump.

Predicted lineup: Karlstrom (GK), Kaasa, Oyvann, Haugan, Lund, Daehli, Enggard, Hestad, Eikrem, Berisha, Gulbrandsen

Player to watch: Vegard Erlien

A big reason why Tromso have been performing so well lately is their centre forward, Vegard Erlien. The 27-year-old is now in his third season with the club and after he failed to live up to the heights he reached in his first campaign last season, he looks doubtly determined to perform well this time around. Erlien has scored five goals and provided one assist in his last eight league matches.
