Newcastle lodge bid for Elanga
It is still early days in the summer transfer window, but Newcastle United appear to be scrambling for an attacker. Their primary target Bryan Mbeumo has decided to join Manchester United, and their pursuit of Anthony Elanga has been dealt a major blow.
According to The Athletic, the Magpies made a bid worth in the region of £45million for the Nottingham Forest winger, but the Reds immediately turned down the proposal without mentioning a counteroffer. Forest set to sign Juventus pair
Forest have no desire to part ways with Elanga ahead of their Conference League campaign. In fact, Nuno Espirito Santo's side are keen to add more firepower to their attack and have already made an ambitious move.
As per ESPN, Forest have reached an agreement with Juventus for the double signing of Timothy Weah and Samuel Mbangula for a total of around £20million.
