Aston Villa have had an £18m bid for Southampton centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis rejected, as Unai Emery looks to rebuild his defence ahead of Ezri Konsa's £51m move to Arsenal.

Southampton have already turned down Benfica's £17m offer for the 24-year-old this month, with the Saints holding out for a fee closer to £30m for their captain.
