Free Predictions for Sweden vs Serbia
Sweden and Serbia have both picked up one win and suffered one defeat in their opening two games of the Nations League, and we're expecting a very close and competitive game between the pair when they lock horns in Solna on Thursday 9th June.
Contents
Under 2.5 Goals
There is a good chance that this game will prove to be tight and tense throughout as both teams are similarly matched on paper and tend to keep things tight at the back. Under 2.5 goals have been produced in three of Sweden's last four international matches in all competitions, while two of Serbia's last four games have also witnessed fewer than three goals scored.
Both Teams to Score – No
We not expecting both teams to score in this game and could see this match ending in a draw or being settled by a solitary goal from either side. Only one of Sweden's last four matches have ended with both teams getting on the scoreboard and the hosts have kept two clean sheets during that period. Both teams have also only scored in one of Serbia's last four fixtures, so you can see why we don't see both teams scoring on Thursday.

A close and competitive 90-minutes is expected in Sweden
Sweden entertained Norway at the weekend but ended up slipping to a narrow defeat. Haaland scored a goal in either half to hand Norway a 2-goal lead and although Elanga pulled a goal back for the hosts in stoppage-time, Sweden lost the game 2-1. Sweden sit third in the group following that result due to them having a slight worse-off goal difference than Serbia, who also have 3pts to their name.
Sweden Predicted Lineup: Olsen, Milošević, Augustinsson, Krafth, Nilsson, Forsberg, Claesson, Svanberg, Kulusevski, Cajuste & Isak
Serbia were in top form at home to Slovenia last time out, taking the lead through Mitrovic in the 24th-minute. The teams did go in level at the break following an equaliser from Stojanovic but 11-minutes into the second forty-five, Milinkovic-Savic restored Serbia's lead. Jovic ended any doubts over the result with a goal 5-minutes from time and substitute Radonjic made it 4-1 in stoppage-time.
Serbia Predicted Lineup: Rajković, Mitrović, Ristić, Milenković, Milinković-Savić, Maksimović, Mašović, Ilić, Mitrović, Živković & Jovanović
Team News
Sweden: Martin Olsson, Victor Lindelöf, Pierre Bengtsson, Albin Ekdal, Zlatan Ibrahimović and Isaac Kiese Thelin have not been selected.
Serbia: Uroš Spajić and Dušan Vlahović are the most noteworthy absentees from the visitors' squad.
