Sweden vs Kosovo predictions: One team to blank
Key stats
- At least one team failed to score in four of four previous encounters between Sweden and Kosovo.
- Sweden have no wins in three group takes so far.
- Seven or more cards were awarded in three consecutive meetings between these sides.
Correct score prediction: Sweden 2-0 Kosovo
To be fair, Sweden lost the reverse fixture and are still in the hunt for their first win. However, they have a solid track record against Kosovo, having won three of four previous skirmishes between these outfits to nil.
Despite their recent shortcomings, we are confident that the hosts will return to winning ways on Monday night.

Despite being one of the favourites in Group B of UEFA's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Sweden find themselves at the bottom of the table after the first three rounds.

Sweden preview: Hoping to get back on course
Sweden’s calamitous start to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers does not seem to end, as Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side fell to their second Group B defeat last Friday, this time to group leaders Switzerland.
With two losses and one draw after three games, the hosts cannot afford a further slip on Monday. Premier League duo Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres are expected to still lead the line despite their recent struggles in front of goal for their national team.
Predicted lineup: Johansson (GK), Gudmundsson, Hien, Lagerbielke, Bernhardsson, Bergvall, Svensson, Karlstrom, Ayari, Sema, Gyokeres & Isak.
Last five matches
- Sweden 0-2 Switzerland
- Kosovo 2-0 Sweden
- Slovenia 2-2 Sweden
- Sweden 4-3 Algeria
- Hungary 0-2 Sweden
Kosovo preview: Eyeing the sweep
Kosovo will look to earn back-to-back wins against Sweden when both sides clash on Monday. However, they will be without midfielder Elvis Rexhbecaj, who sustained an injury during the goalless draw with Slovenia last Friday.
Vedat Muriqi was on the scoresheet in the reverse fixture on 8 September and is expected to lead the attack once again. The Mallorca player is the nation's all-time top scorer with 32 goals after 63 appearances and will be eager to add to his tally here.
Predicted lineup: Muric (GK), Gallapeni, Aliti, Dellova, Krasniqi, Vojvoda, Muslija, Berisha, Avdullahu, Rrahmani & Muriqi.
Last five matches
- Kosovo 0-0 Slovenia
- Kosovo 2-0 Sweden
- Switzerland 4-0 Kosovo
- Kosovo 4-2 Comoros
- Kosovo 5-2 Armenia
Player to watch: Vedat Muriqi

Vedat Muriqi has put in some solid performances in recent weeks, scoring four goals in his last seven appearances for club and country. The 31-year-old will fancy his chances against Sweden after scoring in the reverse fixture.
